How to Help

Give Money, Give Time, Give Clothing.

Ways You Can Help Out

DONATE TIME

Giving doesn't always mean something of monetary value. Our volunteers are what makes Sharp Dressed Man tick! We are always in need of great men and women who want to give back in various ways! How can you help? We are actively seeking individuals passionate about making a difference in Baltimore City. An interest in fashion always helps!

HOST A CLOTHING DRIVE

We are definitely hip individuals and know it is cool to have clothing swaps and clothing sales. Well since you are a veteran at clothing events, why not host a clothing drive? Invite a bunch of friends to hang out, eat pizza, and drop of their items that fit our guidelines.

DONATE SKILLS

We do not currently have a budget to pay others to help us make this organization the best it can be. Baltimore is a city filled with talented and creative individuals that fall all throughout the spectrum.

Are you a photographer who would love to volunteer some time on a  Wednesday to photograph the magic that happens when a gentleman sees himself wearing a suit for the first time? We always need new content for our website/ social media platforms and would absolutely LOVE to have you. Please contact us to schedule when you would like to do so!

DONATE CLOTHING

Although our volunteers are key to our survival as a non-profit organization - we wouldn't be able to accomplish such wonderful things without clothing! All donated clothing must be in good condition (i.e. no rips, stains or missing buttons), contemporary, dry-cleaned and on hangers, and fit with the current season, The cost to mend, repair or dry-clean items is not practical for what we aim to accomplish and it would take money away from our organization.

Before donating - ask yourself, "Would this [article of clothing] help a man to make the best first impression at his interview?"

ACCEPTABLE DONATION ITEMS

All donated clothing must be in good condition (i.e. no rips, stains or missing buttons), contemporary, dry-cleaned and on hangers, and fit with the current season, The cost to mend, repair or dry-clean items is not practical for what we aim to accomplish and it would take money away from our organization.

There are some guidelines as to what type of donations we can accept and they are as follows: business attire, suits, dress shirt, dress shoes, ties, belts, trouser socks, and some other accessories (i.e. pocket squares, cuff links, suspenders, attache cases).

Clothing donations are accepted on Fridays and Saturdays from 12pm-5pm at Christopher Schafer Clothier, 1400 Aliceanna Street, Baltimore, MD 21231

DONATE MONEY

People are busy - trust me when I say we totally understand that! Want to help take Sharp Dressed Man to the next level but you don't have time to volunteer? Don't have any donation items that we accept? Well don't fret - we have another option! Although we would love to see you face-to-face, we understand that sometimes the only feasible way for some to give back to a great cause is through a monetary donation!

Such a donation will go to hire full-time staff members, supplies, and expanded programming. Any little bit helps - we are constantly looking to make upgrades to the boutique as well as seek out additional programming and partnership opportunities.

spread the word

Our organization, as mentioned before, is run purely by volunteers. Help from others is what truly makes Sharp Dressed Man wonderful! We need you, and so do the Sharp Dressed Men of Baltimore. We are actively seeking fashion-oriented individuals who are interested in making a difference. If you want to help further our efforts, help spread the word of this organization that is here to benefit your neighbors. Give back to Baltimore, because it is a city that will keep giving to you!
