We are often asked if we accept women's suits and clothing or if we have plans to cater to women in the future. We do not, but we are happy to refer you to these wonderful non-profits that do. We DO dress masculine presenting women, or women who wear men's suits. As for anything else, please refer to these wonderful non-profits below.!

Suited to Succeed

Suited to Succeed’s clothing supply is fully supported by the community.  Everything on hand has been donated to the organization by proud sponsors or charitable local businesses.  The nonprofit is always in need of seasonal professional clothing – jackets (blazers), skirts, dress pants and blouses that are current and “Ready to Wear“.  Suited to Succeed is especially in need of women’s clothing sizes 16+.  Don’t forget about accessorizing!  Donations of jewelry, shoes, new pantyhose, purses, and other accessories (scarves & belts) are always appreciated.

Clothing donations can be dropped off at our downtown Baltimore location at 250 W. Dickman St,, Baltimore 21230. Normal drop-off hours are Wednesday thru Friday from 10a-3p. Call the office at 410.528.1799 once you arrive and staff members or volunteers will come out to help retrieve the donation.

House of Ruth

The House of Ruth Maryland leads the fight to end violence against women and their children by confronting the attitudes, behaviors and systems that perpetuate it, and by providing victims with the services necessary to rebuild their lives safely and free of fear. House of Ruth Maryland was founded in May of 1977 by a coalition of women’s organizations, religious groups, service providers, and elected officials to provide a safe haven for victims of domestic violence and their children. In November of 1977 we opened Baltimore’s first crisis shelter for these victims in a row house on North Calvert Street. The shelter was staffed by one paid staffed person and a voluntary Board of Directors.
In November 1998 a new 84-bed shelter and 6 apartment transitional housing, featuring expanded services and programs, opened. The new shelter has a holistic health and wellness program, including an on-site health clinic staffed by the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.Today, House of Ruth Maryland is recognized as one of the nation’s most comprehensive domestic violence centers and has a staff of more than ninety. Our voluntary leadership consists of a thirty-member Board of Directors and an Advisory Committee.
